Patrick Metral

Patrick Metral (born June 2, 1945 ) in is a former French racing car driver and insurance broker .

Life

Metral grew up in Villemomble and then attended high schools in Meaux and Le Raincy . After finishing school, he did military service in Montlhéry in 1964/65 . He completed an apprenticeship in insurance and worked for Baloise Insurance for a few years before starting his racing career. From 1968 to 1975 he drove numerous rallies, tours and automobile races , including the Le Mans 24-hour race . From 1970 he worked as an independent insurance broker for Baloise until he retired in 2004.

Motorsport

Patrick Metral competed in the Le Mans 24-hour race in 1975 . Together with Christian Bussi , he finished the race in the Porsche 911 Carrera RSR in 23rd place overall. At the finish line the duo was 71 laps behind the winners Derek Bell and Jacky Ickx on a Gulf GR8 .
