Patrick Schmidt (born March 17, 1988 in Rheinböllen ) is a German football player .

Career

Patrick Schmidt initially played for TuS Rheinböllen in his youth . For the 2002/03 season he joined the B-youth of Hassia Bingen . After two years he left the association for the youth department of TuS Koblenz . After his A youth, he first played one season in the club's U-23. For the 2008/09 season he received a three-year contract with the professional team of TuS Koblenz. After he received no professional appearances in his first season, he made his debut on May 2, 2010 in the home game against Kaiserslautern in the 2nd Bundesliga . He came on in the 76th minute for Tom Geissler . Also in the third division 2010/11 season, he was only used in the professional squad due to injury. For the 2011/12 season, Patrick Schmidt moved from TuS to the Rhineland division FC Karbach . His bad luck with injuries also haunted him in Karbach and after two cheekbones, a broken nose and a hernia, he ended his career as a football player in August 2013 at the age of just 25.
