Patrola

Patrola (German: Patrouille ) was a rock band from Zagreb , which is assigned to the Yugoslav New Wave ( Novi val ).

history

The band existed from 1980 to 1981 and consisted of Renato Metessi ( vocals ), Staško Adlešić ( bass , background vocals), Dragan Simonovski ( drums ), Saša Mićunović ( guitar ) and Damir Molnar (guitar). She released only one music album , U sredini ("In focus"), with the Suzy record company in 1981. It was recorded in the Zagreb studio R-4 RTZ. In addition to their hit Ne pitaj za mene ("Don't ask about me"), whose music and lyrics were by Metessi and Molnar, Djevojka sa stanice ("Girl from the bus stop"), Čovjek bez slobode ("Man without freedom") and Mi smo u sredini ("We are the focus") the most famous songs. Rastko Milošev and Zoran Kraš also worked as guest musicians on the album. After its appearance, Metessi left the band and founded Zvijezde ("Die Sterne"). The rest of the group recorded another unreleased album, Tragovi noći ("Night Traces ").

Trivia

In the Rockumentary Sretno Dijete about Novi val , a film by Igor Mirković from 2003, Renato Metessi also remembers the time with Patrola.
