The Patton Bluff is a rock cliff in the West Antarctic Marie Byrd Land . It rises between Shibuya Peak and Coleman Nunatak on the eastern flank of the Berry Glacier .
The United States Geological Survey mapped the cliff using its own measurements and aerial photographs by the United States Navy from 1959 to 1965. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it in 1966 after Delbert E. Patton, ionospheric physicist with the United States Antarctic Research Program on the Byrd Station in 1962.
