from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Paul-André Robert , (born November 10, 1901 in Biel / Bienne , † August 20, 1977 in Orvin ) was a Swiss painter .

Paul-André Robert was the son of Paul Robert , who - like his grandfather Aurèle Robert , his great uncle Léopold Robert and his brothers Théophile Robert and Philippe Robert - was a painter.

He enjoyed an artistic training with his father and became his closest collaborator. After his father's death in 1923, he took care of his work and continued it, especially the bird and caterpillar watercolors. There were also pictures of mushrooms, tropical flowers, dragonflies and larvae as well as landscapes.

In the New Museum Biel (until 2011 Museum Neuhaus ) pictures of the 3000 works of the Robert Foundation are on display. Paul-André Roberts' pictures are shown in the permanent exhibition Sélection tropicale .
