The Paul-Gerhardt-Weg is a hiking trail from Berlin to Lübben (Spreewald) . Named after Paul Gerhardt , it leads over 140 km from the Nikolaikirche in Berlin-Mitte to the Paul-Gerhardt-Kirche in Lübben. The trail was officially opened in May 2019. The Paul-Gerhardt-Weg is marked by a stylized path that turns to the left. This is set in a square frame. The frame and path are golden. The logo is an image of Paul Gerhardt in front of the path, which consists of stylized paving stones.

course

Beginning at the Nikolaikirche in Berlin-Mitte, the Paul-Gerhardt-Weg first runs south-east through Berlin. The route essentially follows the Spree upstream. From Köpenick it goes along the Dahme to Berlin-Grünau , where the state border to Brandenburg is crossed. In Brandenburg, the Paul-Gerhardt-Weg initially follows the Dahme without, however, always running directly on its bank. In Königs Wusterhausen the path leaves the Dahme and swings westward to reach another place of Paul Gerhardt's work in Mittenwalde . Through the Dahme-Heideseen landscape protection area, the path returns to the banks of the Dahme. Immediately along the Dahme it goes to Märkisch Buchholz . From there you reach the Spreewald after the Köthen lakes , first along the Dahme Umflutkanal for a long time . The last kilometer of the path leads along the Spree to Lübben.
