Paul-Louis Halley

Paul-Louis Halley (* 1934 ; † December 6, 2003 at Oxford ) was a French entrepreneur .

Life

Together with his father and brother, he founded the French retail company Promodès in 1961 , which later merged with Carrefour . After the corporate merger, he held a minority stake in Carrefour. According to the US Forbes Magazine , Robert Halley was one of the richest French in 2003. Halley was killed with his wife and pilot on December 6, 2003 when his Socata TBM 700 went into a tailspin while approaching London Oxford Airport . The cause of the accident could not be clarified by the Air Accidents Investigation Branch .
