Ronnie Atkins , actually Paul Christensen (born November 16, 1964 in Vejle ) is a Danish singer and guitarist.

biography

In 1981 Paul Christensen, who called himself Ronnie Atkins from now on , founded the band Pretty Maids with his friend Kenneth Hansen (alias Ken Hammer ) . This was originally only intended as a cover band, but released a demo tape with its own songs as early as 1982. The band got a record deal in England with an underground label, which is where the English-sounding pseudonyms come from. In 1984 the first album Red, Hot and Heavy was released . The band has already released 13 studio albums in their more than 30-year creative phase.

On January 10, 2013 Tobias Sammet announced that Ronnie Atkins would be heard on the sixth studio album The Mystery Of Time by the metal opera Avantasia . He sings the song Invoke The Machine together with Sammet, which was posted on the Internet on February 27th.

On February 28th, Tobias Sammet announced that Ronnie Atkins would accompany Avantasia on the tour. The The Mystery World Tour took the band from April to August, among others, according to Germany , England , Japan , Switzerland , Brazil , Argentina , Costa Rica , etc. 2014 was followed by an appearance at the Wacken Open Air . Due to scheduling conflicts with the Pretty Maids, Atkins suspended some concerts on the tour.

Ronnie Atkins is married with children.
