Paul Endacott (born July 13, 1902 in Lawrence , Kansas , † January 8, 1997 ) was an American basketball player. He played in the years 1919 to 1923, the college basketball team of the University of Kansas . During this time he was coached by Phog Allen , who won the championship of the Helms Athletic Foundation in 1923 with Endacott as captain of the team in the latter's college year . In 1972 Paul Endacott was named to the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame for his athletic achievements .

Endacott learned the sport from the inventor of basketball, James Naismith . During his time on the Kansas Jayhawks team, he was best known for his defense skills. His coach Phog Allen, who himself was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Hall of Fame in 1959, called Endacott the best player he would have ever coached.
After the sport
Immediately after the end of his sports career, Endacott began working for the oil company Phillips Petroleum , where he made a career. He worked there continuously until 1967 and became, among other things, managing director.
