Paul Francke († between 1914 and 1918) was a German soccer player and was one of the founding members of FC Bayern Munich .

Career

Francke was active as a soccer player for Wacker Leipzig before joining the soccer department of MTV Munich in 1879 . He was one of the eleven men who, under the leadership of Franz John , broke away from the football department of MTV Munich 1879 in the Gisela restaurant on February 27, 1900 and founded FC Bayern Munich. He was elected first team captain and in this role was also responsible for training and line-up. This made him the first (player) coach for FC Bayern Munich.

He was among those players who played the first four of six friendly matches in 1900; it was used in the first game of FC Bayern Munich, which won 5-2 against 1. Munich FC 1896 in March 1900 . He converted a corner kick directly supported by wind.
