Paul Geibel

Paul Friedrich Bernhard Geibel (born August 29, 1845 in Budapest ; † August 1, 1915 ) was a farmer and member of the German Reichstag .

Life

Geibel was educated in Schnepfenthal from 1855 to 1862 and attended Thomasgymnasium in Leipzig from 1862 to 1864 . Between 1864 and 1866 he learned practical farming in Mockau , and then studied it in Halle from 1866 and 1868 . He then worked from 1868 to 1871 as an agricultural official in Köstritz and Schleiz . From 1871 he was tenant of the chamber property in Unterrohn and from 1878 chairman of the agricultural council for the Duchy of Meiningen and member of the German agricultural council .

From 1887 to 1890 he was a member of the German Reichstag for the constituency of the Grand Duchy of Saxony-Weimar-Eisenach 3 ( Jena , Neustadt an der Orla ) and the National Liberal Party .
