Paul Glandorp

Paul Glandorp (also Paulus Glandorp ; born December 17, 1626 in Bremen ; † November 5, 1696 ibid) was a German physician , professor in Rinteln and city ​​physician of Bremen.

Life

Glandorp was a grandson of the surgeon Ludwig Glandorp and the only son of the Bremen doctor Matthias Glandorp . He attended the Bremen School , from 1647 the University of Leiden and from 1648 the University of Franeker . In 1650 he returned to Bremen. On 12 November 1652 he was charged with the defense De Lienteria at the University of Leiden for MD PhD .

Glandorp followed in 1655 a call to a medical professorship at the University of Rinteln , where he served as rector in late 1658 and early 1662 . In 1665 he returned to his hometown, which appointed him city physician in 1674. He held this office until his death.
