Paul Gustav Kretschmar

Paul Gustav Kretschmar (born July 11, 1865 in Leipzig , † October 29, 1942 in Innsbruck ) was a German legal scholar .

Kretschmar studied law at the Universities of Giessen and Leipzig . During his studies in Gießen in 1885 he became a member of the student association Academic Society Das Kloster . 1896 doctorate he in Leipzig for Dr. iur. In 1899 the habilitation for civil law followed . After three years as a private lecturer , he became associate professor in 1902 and in Gießen in 1903. In 1909 he followed the call of the University of Innsbruck to its chair for Roman law . In 1912/13 he was rector of the University of Innsbruck. In 1933 he retired .

Since 1901 he was born with Charlotte. Luedicke married.
