Paul Hake ( bl. 1345–1358) was canon of Lübeck , Bremen and Schwerin .

Life

There is no precise information about the origin and the place of birth, however, based on some references in the historical literature, it can be assumed that Paul Hake was born around 1310 in what was then Elmeshorne (today Elmshorn in Schleswig-Holstein). Hake was Canon of Lübeck from January 10, 1345 to April 21, 1358 . From March 16, 1349 to May 30, 1350 Hake led a trial for his benefice there. From March 14, 1348 to April 21, 1358 he was still canon of Bremen.

Hake was on May 30, 1350 by Pope Clement VI. provided with the canonical with prebende and thesaurariat zu Schwerin , which was vacant due to the death of Dietmar Schulop . As Schwerin canon was mentioned several times in 1355. On October 22nd, 1356 he exchanged the thesaurariat for a vicarie in the Heilig-Geist chapel in Warin with Friedrich II. Von Bülow .

On November 6, 1356 he was supposed to resign himself to the canonical and prebend of Schwerin in order to achieve a canon position in Prague . At the same time, Pope Innocent VI reserved . this canon position for Eberhard von Attendorn . From April 21, 1358 Paul Hake was named as chaplain to Duke Rudolf II of Saxony-Wittenberg .
