Paul Haniel

Paul Haniel (born April 22, 1843 in Ruhrort ; † March 24, 1892 in the Aue near Dabringhausen ) was a German administrative officer.

Life

Paul Haniel came from the Duisburg entrepreneur family Haniel . His father was the coal and steel industrialist Carl Haniel . He studied at the Universities of Heidelberg and Bonn law . In 1864 he became a member of the Corps Suevia Heidelberg . In 1865 he joined the Corps Guestphalia Bonn .

After completing his studies, Haniel entered the Prussian civil service. After working for the government in Koblenz , where in 1877 his son Karl Haniel was born, and the government in Dusseldorf he was from 1878 until his death in 1892 District Administrator of the district Mülheim an der Ruhr . He was married to Ida Nobiling (1851-1942).
