Paul Henrichs

Paul Henrichs (born January 3, 1882 in Aachen , † November 7, 1962 ) was a German industrial manager.

Life

After graduating from high school, Henrichs completed a commercial apprenticeship on March 22, 1901 at the Carl Zeiss company in Jena. After training at home and abroad, he took over the company's branch in London at the age of 24. In the years after the First World War, he was responsible for setting up the international and national sales organization. On October 1, 1926, he joined the management team at Carl Zeiss, and on July 20, 1934, he also became a member of the management team at Jenaer Glaswerk Schott & Gen. From August 31, 1941 he was an authorized representative of the Carl Zeiss Foundation .

After the expropriation of the Carl Zeiss production facilities in Jena and the rebuilding of the company at the new production site in Oberkochen, Württemberg, Henrichs became a member of Zeiss-Opton Optische Werke Oberkochen GmbH in 1948.

In addition, he was chairman of the supervisory board of Zeiss Ikon AG in Stuttgart and Emil Busch AG in Göttingen, deputy chairman of the supervisory board of M. Hensoldt & Söhne Optische Werke AG in Wetzlar, Deutsche Spiegelglas AG in Grünenplan and the Vereinigte Farbenglaswerke AG in Zwiesel, as well Member of the supervisory board of Gerling-Lebensversicherungs AG and Friedrich-Wilhelm-Lebensversicherungsgesellschaft in Cologne. He was an honorary member of the board of the Association of the German Precision Mechanical and Optical Industry .
