Paul Kayser (organist)

Paul Kayser (* 1979 in Luxembourg ) is a Luxembourg church musician and organ teacher.

Life

Kayser began his musical education in 1989 at the National Conservatory in Luxembourg with the subjects violin and organ . This was followed by organ improvisation , choral conducting and fugal composition. He completed his training at the Frankfurt University of Music and Performing Arts , where he studied with Daniel Roth , Martin Lücker and Godehard Joppich . A final degree took him to Berlin to work with Wolfgang Seifen .

In 2005 he appeared as a soloist with the Orgue Philharmonic du Luxembourg at the Festival d'Orgue de Dudelange . He has also given concerts in the Philharmonie Luxembourg , the Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church at the Organ Festival Ruhr and at the Festival International Echternach Classique . Paul Kayser is titular organist in the St. Willibrordus Basilica in Echternach and in St. Alphonse in Luxembourg City. With a few exceptions, Kayser plays the weekly concerts that take place every Thursday evening in St. Alphonse in Luxembourg City himself. He has also given concerts in numerous European countries and beyond.
