Paul Kunckel

Paul Kunckel (born June 27, 1844 in Groß Maraunen ; † March 7, 1925 in Königsberg i. Pr. ) Was a German judge and municipal official in East Prussia .

During his studies in 1863 he became a member of the Germania Königsberg fraternity . After studying law at the Albertus University in Königsberg , Kunckel became a district judge in Prussian Holland and Mohrungen . In 1882 he joined the city of Königsberg as a full-time city ​​councilor . Mayor from 1901 to 1913 , he played a significant role in the upswing under Siegfried Körte and Theodor Krohne . When he retired after 30 years, Königsberg made him an honorary citizen .

Kunckel died in a traffic accident.
