Paul Lecaron

Paul Émile Lecaron (born July 29, 1863 in Neuilly-sur-Seine , † September 17, 1940 in Paris ) was a French tennis player .

biography

Lecaron took part in the tennis competition at the 1900 Summer Olympics in Paris . In singles , he did not get past Albert Lippmann after a win in the first round , where he was defeated by Reginald Doherty . In doubles he and Paul Lebreton lost again in the first round against Reginald, who with his brother Laurence Doherty formed one of the best doubles of the time and with whom he later also became Olympic champion.

Lecaron played a few other tennis tournaments in his home country. He was in the semifinals of the French Closed Championships in 1897 and 1899 , as well as in the 1903 Paris International . In 1896, 1898, 1900 to 1902 and 1904 he was in the quarterfinals of the French Covered Court Championships . He achieved the same result again in 1902 at Paris International .
