Paul Lebreton (also Paul Lebréton and erroneously Pierre Lebréton ; born October 19, 1875 in Paris , † March 31, 1960 there ) was a French tennis player .

Career

Lebreton reached the final three times at the French tennis championships . In 1898 and 1899 he lost to Paul Aymé and in 1901 to André Vacherot . It can be assumed that he and his compatriot Paul Aymé won the French tennis championships in doubles in 1897, 1899 and 1900 . However, this is not absolutely certain, because on the list of winners as a partner of Paul Aymé only one “P. Lebreton ”. In major major tournaments he was able to reach the finals four times, but never win a title: in 1901 and 1902 he was in the finals of the Paris International , in 1901 at the European Championship and in the same year at the Boulogne Invitational .

Lebreton took part in the second modern Olympic Games in tennis in 1900 . He lost his first match both singles and doubles .
