Paul Melko

Paul Melko (* 22. May 1968 in Athens ) is an American science fiction - author .

Life

Melko initially published short stories and short stories in US magazines such as Asimov's Science Fiction and Realms of Fantasy , as well as in anthologies such as The Year's Best Science Fiction . In 2008 he published his first novel Singularity's Ring (Eng. The Ring ), which is about a group of people who can communicate chemically and telepathically. An excerpt from it, Strom's Story , was nominated for the Nebula . This and subsequent novels such as The Walls of the Universe (dt. The walls of the universe ) published among others in French and German translation.

Melko is married and lives near Columbus, Ohio with his wife and four children .

In 2009, his novel Singularity's Ring won the Compton Crook Award for best debut novel . In the same year he received the Locus Award for best debut novel.
