Greetings from Oktoberfest

He painted countless postcards with Munich motifs. Many of them represent the Münchner Kindl . The Munich dachshund was also one of his favorite subjects. His postcard with the dachshund in traditional Bavarian clothes including a hat and leather pants is legendary . This humorous motif is still often printed today. He mostly signed POE. During the First World War , he worked as a graphic artist for the War Ministry in Berlin. His postcards belittled the war effort. It shows children in uniforms, playing war and waving flags.
