Paul René Moreno (born September 1, 1962 in Chihuahua , Mexico ) is a former Mexican soccer player who acted both in midfield and on the offensive .

career

When he was twelve, his family moved to Guanajuato State , where he joined the youth division of Salamanca FC two years later .

In 1982 Moreno was signed by Puebla FC , with whom he won the Mexican championship title in his first season in 1982/83 . In 1988 they won the Copa México with the Camoteros .

Just before the most successful season 1989/90 in the club's history of Puebla FC, when both titles were won again in a double , Moreno switched to league rivals Chivas , played for UAT Correcaminos in 1992/93 and spent his last season in 1994/95 back in service his longtime club Puebla FC.

Between 1983 and 1991 Moreno made a total of seven international appearances for the Mexican national team and scored one goal each in the games against Canada (4: 0) on October 6, 1987 and against Poland (3: 1) on February 14, 1989.

After his active career, Moreno worked in the coaching staff of Puebla FC and the fourth division club Alpha. In the Clausura 2006 he was temporarily head coach of his former club Puebla FC.
