Paul Robbins

Paul F. Robbins (born September 2, 1967 in Colorado ) is an American geographer and director of the Nelson Institute for Environmental Studies at the University of Wisconsin – Madison . He researches and publishes on the topics of global change and political ecology and is the author of the introductory work Political Ecology: A Critical Introduction (Blackwell, 2004, 2011).

Life

Robbins was born and raised in Colorado . Initially, he concentrated his work on the analysis of the political conditions for nature conservation of forest areas in Rajasthan (India). Some of the last wolves on the subcontinent live there. In 1996 he obtained the Ph.D. at Clark University . Robbins then worked at Ohio State University and the University of Arizona before moving to the University of Wisconsin – Madison in 2012 .
