Paul Schmitz-Moormann (doctor)

Paul Schmitz-Moormann (born December 2, 1930 in Hamm ) is a German pathologist and university professor.

Life

Paul Schmitz-Moormann was the son of an ophthalmologist. From 1936 to 1950 he attended the municipal high school for boys in Ahlen . He then studied medicine in Freiburg , Munich and Münster . In 1955 he passed the medical state examination and was awarded a Dr. med. PhD . In the following years he worked as an assistant at the Pathological Institute of the University of Freiburg , Physiological-Chemical Institute and Pathological Institute of the University of Cologne and at the Pathological Institute of the University of Marburg . There he completed his habilitation on February 10, 1967 in general pathology and pathological anatomy and was appointed H2 professor in 1971 and H3 professor in 1973.
