Paul Schuster Taylor

Paul Schuster Taylor (* 1895 in Sioux City , † 1984 in San Francisco ) was a socially committed social scientist. He was Professor of Economics at the University of California at Berkeley from 1922 until his retirement in 1962 .

Life

Taylor played a key role in research projects within the New Deal and, together with his wife, photographer Dorothea Lange , documented both the misery of farm workers during the Depression and the internment of Japanese Americans during World War II .
