Paul Seiffert

Paul Seiffert (born May 26, 1866 in Berlin , † September 1936 in Berlin) was a German educationalist and politician.

Life

Seiffert studied theology and education at the University of Berlin as well as economics. In 1890 and 1892 he passed his state exams. From 1892 to 1894 he was a participant in the Silesian Church-Social Conference and managing director of the Provincial Association for Inner Mission. From 1894 to 1897 he was the second director of the Alsterdorfer institutes for epileptics near Hamburg. From 1897 to 1899 he was managing director of the youth welfare association. From 1899 to 1919 he was director of the Brandenburg Provincial School in Strausberg and head of the seminal curia for educators. He was also the founder and chairman of the General Welfare Education Day from 1904 to 1914. He was then a state education councilor in Hessenwinkel .

From 1923 Seiffert was active in the so-called revaluation movement, which advocated political measures to repair the damage caused by inflation . In July 1924 he became chairman of the Mortgage Creditors and Savers Protection Association for the German Reich. In December 1924 , Seiffert entered the Reichstag on the Reich election proposal for the National Socialist Freedom Movement (NSFB) . During the electoral term , Seiffert left the group of NSFB members in the spring of 1927; on February 7, 1928 he joined the People's Rights Party .

On April 1, 1933 Seiffert joined the NSDAP .
