Paul Siemen (born July 27, 1797 in Glückstadt , † July 20, 1865 in Dresden ) was a Dresden city councilor, city elder, master builder and council carpenter.

In 1831, Siemen bought the castle Übigau, which was neglected at the time, as a Dresden council carpenter. He renovated the castle, added various buildings to the complex and replaced the orangery with farm buildings. In 1836 the castle was acquired by the Übigau mechanical engineering institute .

As a master carpenter, he had a borehole carried out in 1836 to improve the drinking water supply for Dresden-Neustadt. The drilling depth was 243.5 m. He built the old spring house of the Artesian Fountain on Albertplatz in Dresden. A memorial plaque next to the skyscraper on Albertplatz reminds of the builder.

At an unspecified time, a lawyer Dietrich sold the mountain inn "Zum Pfeiffer" in Wahnsdorf to the city council of Siemen, who sold it in 1854 to JG Rahrisch from Wahnsdorf.

Siemen died in Dresden in 1865. His grave is in the Inner Neustädter Friedhof .
