Paul Sprotte (born June 15, 1940 in Kunzendorf ; † May 5, 2014 in Döbeln ) was a German politician ( CDU ) and was a member of the Saxon state parliament between 1990 and 1994 .

Life

After high school , Paul Sprotte worked as a toolmaker. Later he was employed at VEB DBM Döbeln. This was followed by evening studies at the Breitenbrunn engineering school , which he completed in 1971 as an engineer for forming technology, and distance learning at the Technical University of Karl-Marx-Stadt with a degree in engineering. for manufacturing process design in 1980. After working as a toolmaker until 1969, Sprotte was group leader for planning in tool and mold making until 1975. From 1976 he was department head for technology in tool and mold making. He was also a member of the works council of DBM-GmbH von Döbeln.

Paul Sprotte was involved as a Catholic youth leader. After the Wall was built in 1961, he was persecuted. From 1971 to 1978 he was the active parents 'chairman, a member of the parents' council of the Lessing Oberschule in Döbeln and was in charge of municipal value maintenance. Sprotte is the initiator and head of the consumer protection association in the Döbeln district.

Sprat was married and had one child.

Paul Sprotte had been a member of the CDU since October 1961. He was deputy chairman of the local association and a member of the district committee of the CDU Döbeln. Sprotte is also a member of the CDA and the European Union of Saxony. From 1971 he was a member of the Döbeln district council and from June 1990 chairman of the district council and chairman of the committee for the rules of procedure. Between 1985 and 1990 he was chairman of the Permanent Commission on Transport and News.

In October 1990 Sprotte was elected to the Saxon state parliament via constituency 19 (Döbeln 1) with 49.9 percent of the vote. He was a member of it for an electoral term until 1994 and was chairman of the committee for federal and European affairs, as well as a member of the committee for economy and labor.
