Paul Uhlich

Hermann Paul Uhlich (born April 22, 1859 in Chemnitz , † January 25, 1905 in Freiberg ) was a German professor of geodesy and mine surveying .

Life

Paul Uhlich attended the higher trade school in Chemnitz and studied from 1878 to 1882 at the Dresden Polytechnic . He completed his studies with a diploma as an engineer and the geodetic examination for the higher civil service. He then became an assistant at the Saxon Commission for International Earth Surveying. From 1885 he worked as an assistant to Professor August Nagel at the Dresden Polytechnic. On October 1, 1890, he went to the Bergakademie Freiberg , where he initially worked as a provisional teacher for geodesy and geodesy. On April 1, 1891, his position was converted to a professorship. In 1904 he was appointed Oberbergrat .

Paul Uhlich died at the age of 45 as a result of a stroke in Freiberg. His grave is on the Donatsfriedhof in Freiberg .
