Paul Wiesert

Paul Wiesert (born April 13, 1860 in Halle an der Saale ; † March 31, 1948 in Heidelberg ) was a German architect .

Life

Born and raised in Halle an der Saale, Paul Wiesert studied architecture at the Technical University of Berlin and in the summer semester of 1881 he joined the Saxonia Landsmannschaft, which later became Corps Saxonia-Berlin.

After completing his studies, he initially worked for the Magdeburger Baubank before settling in Saarbrücken in 1889 as a freelance architect. Here he built numerous residential and commercial buildings, some of which are among the architectural monuments of today's Saarbrücken City Association. In 1929 he moved to Heidelberg, where he lived until his death.
