Paul Wopp (born April 12, 1881 ; † unknown) was a German football player .

Player career

Paul Wopp joined BFC Hertha 1892 in the summer of 1898 . With the Berliners , the middle runner was able to quickly develop a regular place and from then on became a permanent fixture.

Wopp achieved the greatest success of his career in the 1905/06 season, when he won the Berlin championship for the first time with his club and thus qualified for the final round of the 1906 German championship . There, too, Wopp was one of those who played both games. In the quarter-finals taking place in Dresden , SC Schlesien Breslau was defeated 7-1. As a result, Hertha reached the semifinals against VfB Leipzig . After a hard-fought game, the blue-whites had to admit defeat to the future German champions 2: 3.

In July 1908, Wopp was given the honor of being one of the first to become an extraordinary member of BFC Hertha.

After the 1908/09 season, Paul Wopp ended his playing career at the age of 28.
