Paul Yvon
Paul Yvon (* 1949 in St. Leonhard am Hornerwald ) is an Austrian journalist .
Life
Yvon studied journalism in Vienna and received his doctorate in 1981. From 1973 to 1981 he was an editor for the daily newspaper Die Presse and from 1981 to 2007 court reporter for the weekly magazine Profil . He reported on major legal cases of the time, including OJ Simpson , Rodney King (both from the USA ), Marianne Bachmeier , Jack Unterweger , Udo Proksch and Franz Fuchs .
From 1990 to 1991 Yvon was President of the Journalists' Union , from 1996 to 2006 a member of the Austrian Press Council and from 1991 to 1994 on the Advisory Board of the Bertelsmann Foundation .
