Paula Pöhlsen
Paula Pöhlsen (* 11. September 1913 ; for Marriage Paula Scholz ) was a German gymnast and Olympic champion.
Paula Pöhlsen started for the Hamburg gymnastics club from 1816 . In 1933 she won the German championship in gymnastics all-around. At the Olympic Games in 1936 an Olympic team competition for gymnasts took place for the second time after 1928. Paula Pöhlsen took twelfth place in the points ranking. With the German team consisting of Gertrud Meyer , Erna Bürger , Käte Sohnemann , Isolde Frölian , Anita Bärwirth , Paula Pöhlsen as well as Friedl Iby and Julie Schmitt , she won the gold medal three points ahead of the team from Czechoslovakia.
