Anita Bärwirth
Anita Bärwirth after marriage Anita Hardekopf , (* the 30th August 1918 in Kiel ; † 13. July 1994 in Buenos Aires ) was a German gymnast and Olympic champion.
Anita Bärwirth started for MTV in Kiel . At the Olympic Games in 1936 an Olympic team competition for gymnasts took place for the second time after 1928. Anita Bärwirth took ninth place in the points ranking. With the German team consisting of Gertrud Meyer , Erna Bürger , Käthe Sohnemann , Isolde Frölian , Anita Bärwirth, Paula Pöhlsen as well as Friedl Iby and Julie Schmitt , she won the gold medal with three points ahead of the team from Czechoslovakia.
Anita Bärwirth emigrated to Argentina. Her daughter Christina Hardekopf took part in the 1960 Olympic Games for Argentina as a water diver.
