Erna citizen
Erna citizens (* 26. July 1909 in Eberswalde , † 26. June 1958 in Dusseldorf ) was a German gymnast and Olympic champion.
Erna Bürger started for MTV Eberswalde in 1860 . At the Olympic Games in 1936 an Olympic team competition for gymnasts took place for the second time after 1928. Erna Bürger took second place behind Gertrud Meyer in the points ranking . With the German team consisting of Gertrud Meyer, Erna Bürger, Käthe Sohnemann , Isolde Frölian , Anita Bärwirth , Paula Pöhlsen as well as Friedl Iby and Julie Schmitt , she won the gold medal three points ahead of the team from Czechoslovakia. She achieved the second-best rating behind Gertrud Meyer, but individual medals have not yet been awarded.
