Polish team championship in chess 1946

The Polish team championship in chess in 1946 was the third edition of this competition. In addition to the city selections from Warszawa , Łódź , Kraków and Poznań , which had already participated in the first two Polish team championships, the city selections from Katowice , Cieszyn , Gdańsk , Częstochowa , Wrocław and Kielce were at the start for the first time . The Polish team champion was the Łódź city selection, while the defending champion from Warsaw had to be content with fourth place.

mode

The ten participating teams played a simple round-robin tournament , played on six boards. The number of points on the board (one point for a win, half a point for a draw, no point for a defeat), then the number of team points (two points for a win, one point for a draw, no point) decided the placement for defeat).

Dates and venue

The tournament was held in Katowice from September 22nd to 29th .
