Ekstraliga (chess) 2013

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Ekstraliga (chess) 2013 was the twelfth edition of the Ekstraliga and the 69th Polish team championship in chess . The team from WASKO HetMaN Szopienice became the Polish team champions. With the withdrawal of the defending champion KSz Polonia Warszawa in the previous year, three teams were promoted from the I league: ASSz Miedź Legnica, TKKF Drogowiec Kraków and KSz Odrodzenie Kożuchów. In purely sporting terms, Legnica and Kraków achieved relegation, but withdrew their teams as well as AZS Politechnika Poznańska-Pocztowiec, while Kożuchów and MLKS Impact Team Ostróda were relegated directly.

For the team squad, see Ekstraliga (chess) 2013 team squad .

mode

The ten teams played a simple round-robin tournament on six boards, with a woman standing on the sixth board. The last two placed were relegated to the I league and were replaced by the first two placed in the I league. The number of team points (two points for a win, one point for a draw, no point for a defeat), then the number of board points (one point for a win, half a point for a draw, no point) decided the placement for defeat).

Date and venue

The first three rounds were played from May 24th to 26th in the premises of the Polonia Wrocław Chess Club ( Klub Szachowy Polonia Wrocław ) in Wrocław , and rounds 4 to 6 were played from August 30th to September 1st in the voivodeship public and municipal library in memory of Zbigniew Herbert ( Wojewódzka i Miejska Biblioteka Publiczna im. Zbigniewa Herberta ) in Gorzów Wielkopolski and the last three rounds from September 13th to 15th in the Bogucice-Zawodzie ( MDK "Bogucice-Zawodzie" ) in Katowice .
