Jacek Gdański (born November 30, 1970 in Szczecinek ) is a Polish chess grandmaster .

Life

Gdański was the dominant Polish youth player in the second half of the 1980s. In 1986 he was Polish youth champion U20 and won bronze at the European youth championship. At the U20 youth world championships in 1989 he lost a long lead due to a defeat in the final round and was runner-up behind Wassil Spassow .
