Paweł Czarnota (born May 14, 1988 in Olkusz ) is a Polish chess master .
Life
Czarnota won or occupied top places in several tournaments: 1st place at the U18 European Championship in Herceg Novi (2005), 3rd place at the 18th Cracovia Open in Krakow (2007) and 2nd – 9th place. Place at the Najdorf Memorial in Warsaw (2009). He has held the title of grandmaster since 2006 . His sister Dorota Kika (* 1987) is an International Master of Women (WIM).

He played for the Polish national team at the 2006 Chess Olympiad .

In the German federal chess league, Czarnota played for SV Wattenscheid from 2006 to 2014 . In the Polish team championship in 2008 he played for KSz Polonia Votum Wrocław , from 2010 to 2015 for UKS Rotmistrz Twoja Szkoła Grudziądz , and since 2016 he has played at Akademia Szachowa Gliwice . In the Spanish team championship in 2007 Czarnota played for CA Llanera Alzira .
