I league (chess) 1994
The I league (chess) 1994 was the 23rd edition of the I league and the 50th Polish team championship in chess . The defending champion ZKS Stilon Gorzów Wielkopolski became the Polish team champion thanks to the better second ranking compared to the second BBTS Włókniarz Bielsko-Biała, who was tied for points. KS Śląsk Świętochłowice, LKS ZPD Jasień and MOK Chrobry Głogów were promoted from the II league last year. As the only climber reached Świętochłowice relegation, while Jasień and Głogów relegated together with BKS Chemik Bydgoszcz.
For information on the team squad, see the I league (chess) 1994 team squad .
mode
The twelve teams played a simple round-robin tournament on six boards, with a woman standing on the sixth board. The last three were relegated to the II league and were replaced by the top three in the II league. The number of points on the board (one point for a win, half a point for a draw, no point for a defeat), then the number of team points (two points for a win, one point for a draw, no point) decided the placement for defeat).
Date and venue
The tournament was played in Lubniewice from September 22nd to October 2nd .
