Polish team championship in chess 1991
The Polish team championship in chess in 1991 was the 47th edition of this competition. The Polish team champion was the team of ZKS Stilon Gorzów Wielkopolski, which relegated the defending champion BBTS Włókniarz Bielsko-Biała to second place. After the competition for economic reasons in the Swiss system with a subsequent play-offwas held, it was originally planned to return to the league system in 1991. However, this was postponed for a year and played again in the Swiss system. The 24 teams that had qualified for the I league or II league in the previous year were eligible to start, as well as eight qualifiers through regional competitions, but only 28 of the teams eligible to play competed.

mode
The 28 teams played nine rounds in the Swiss system. The placement was first determined by the number of board points (one point for a win, half a point for a draw, no point for a defeat), then the Buchholz rating (total of board points scored by the opponents) and then the number of team points (three points for a win, one point for a draw, no point for a loss). The first twelve qualified for the I league in 1992, the teams in places 13 to 24 for the II league. The game was played on six boards, with a woman standing on the sixth board.

The tournament was played from September 20th to 28th in the Hafen Holiday House ( Dom Wczasowy Przystań ) in Mikołajki .
