Pavao Tekavčić

Pavao Tekavčić (born August 23, 1931 in Zagreb ; † March 19, 2007 ibid) was a Croatian Romance and Italian studies.

Life

Tekavčić studied at the University of Zagreb with Petar Skok and Mirko Deanović . He received his doctorate from the latter in 1963 with a thesis on the Istrian of Vodnjan ( Današnji istroromanski dijalekt Vodnjana ). From 1965 until his illness in 1980 he taught at the University of Zagreb, from 1970 as a professor of Italian.
