Pavel Novák (singer)

Pavel Novák (born March 10, 1944 in Přerov ; † February 11, 2009 ) was a Czechoslovakian or Czech singer.

Life

He studied biology at the Palacký University in Olomouc and initially worked as a teacher for biology and sports. Since the 1960s he was active as a singer in the fields of jazz , hits and pop . Novák founded the Synkopy group and later performed as a soloist. He gained fame in the 1970s with the song Malinka . In the mid-1970s he recorded an LP and several singles in German for the GDR record label Amiga . His greatest success was in 1973 with the title 1000 colors I wish for . Novák released a total of 30 albums. Since the 1990s he has also worked as a writer.

Pavel Novák died of prostate cancer .
