Pavel Pavel (born March 11, 1957 in Strakonice ) is a Czech engineer , experimental archaeologist and politician.

Life

Pavel studied electrical engineering at the University of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering in Pilsen . In his spare time, he studied the question of how ancient civilizations moved and transported heavy loads and weights.

After the Velvet Revolution he became politically active from 1989 as a member of the conservative Občanská Demokratieická strana . He has been a candidate for the Senate of the Parliament of the Czech Republic several times and in 2000 he founded PAVEL PAVEL sro , a company for heavy haulage .

Experimental archeology

Thor Heyerdahl's Kon-Tiki inspired Pavel in the 1980s to experiment with antique freight transports to the moai figures on Easter Island . An experiment carried out in Bohemia in 1982 was carried out again and successfully by Pavel in 1986 at the invitation of Heyerdahl on Easter Island.
