Pawel Sergejewitsch Snurnitsyn ( Russian Павел Сергеевич Снурницын ; born January 10, 1992 in Yaroslavl , † September 7, 2011 in Tunoschna near Yaroslavl) was a Russian ice hockey player who was under contract during his career with Lokomotive Yaroslavl from the Continental Hockey League .

Career

Born in Yaroslavl, Snurnitsyn passed through the youth department of Lokomotiv Yaroslavl during his junior years . From 2009 he was used in the Molodjoschnaja Chokkeinaja League at the youth club Loko Yaroslavl . In two years he completed 118 games in which he scored 43 points. At the start of the 2011/12 season of the Continental Hockey League , he was part of the extended line-up of Lokomotiv Yaroslavl.

On September 7, 2011, he was killed in a plane crash near Yaroslavl . The Yaroslavl team was on their way to their first game of the season at HK Dinamo Minsk .
