In May 2018, the Ingenico Group announced exclusive negotiations with the DSV Group on a joint venture between the DSV subsidiary BS Payone and Ingenico Payment Services in Ratingen and other Ingenico Group companies in the DACH region (Germany, Austria and Switzerland ) on. Shortly afterwards, on July 25, 2018, the Ingenico Group and Deutsche Sparkassenverlag successfully agreed on a joint venture between their subsidiaries BS Payone and Ingenico Payment Services. In January 2019, BS Payone was incorporated into Ingenico Payone Holding and thus became a sister company of Ingenico Payment Services. In June 2019, the merger of BS Payone with Ingenico Payment Services to become Payone was completed with the entry in the commercial register. The official brand launch of the new brand was launched on February 13, 2020 as part of a digital, interactive industry talk on the Internet.
