The Pearce Peak is a partially snow-covered and about 1200 m high mountain ridge in the East Antarctic Mac Robertson Land . It rises 3 km south of Moyes Peak and 15 miles south-southwest of Falla Bluff and looks like a mountain peak when viewed from the north .
It was discovered in February 1931 by participants in the British Australian and New Zealand Antarctic Research Expedition (1929-1931) under the direction of the Australian polar explorer Douglas Mawson . This named him after the Australian politician George Pearce (1870-1952), chairman of the Australian Antarctic Committee in 1929.
