Peer Christopher Stanchina

Peer Christopher Stanchina (born March 29, 1945 in Salzburg ) is a German diplomat and was ambassador at the German embassy in Baku , Azerbaijan from 2006 to 2010 .

Life

Peer Christopher Stanchina holds a doctorate in law .

After joining the Foreign Service and a period of preparation for the higher service, he was employed at the Consulate General in Calcutta from 1977 to 1980 , from 1978 as a permanent representative . After four years of service in the Foreign Office , Stanchina went to the embassy in London for three years . There followed three years in the Russian capital Moscow before he returned to Bonn. As head of the economic department he went from 1993 to 1999 the Indian New Delhi . After four more years as Head of Unit in the Foreign Office, Stanchina became Deputy Executive Director at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development in London. From 2006 to 2010 he was Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany in Baku.

He is married and has three children and one grandchild.
