Göteborgs pendeltåg is a suburban train system in Gothenburg , Sweden . Trains run on three lines of railway terminus Gothenburg C towards Kungsbacka , Alingsås and Älvängen . Most of the routes run in the province of Västra Götalands län ; the terminus at Kungsbacka is in the neighboring province of Halland County . After the expansion to Älvängen there will be a total of 25 stations in the route network.

During the day, the trains to Kungsbacka run every quarter of an hour at times and every hour in the evening. In the direction of Alingsås, trains run two to three times an hour during the day. All lines run in mixed traffic with IC trains, express trains and freight trains and not on their own tracks. The route in the direction of Alingsås is not designed for the capacity of four connections per hour. The trains are of the type "X11". New Alstom Coradia Nordic vehicles have been in use since 2012.
